Frist Corvette Stingray sold causes chaos on the market
The 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray made a great sensation this year and it seems like it’s not going to stop at all. At the first auction that took place these days, it sold for the astonishing $1.1 million which is a lot more than anyone would have expected. Of course, having the privilege of owning the first 2014 Chevy makes all the difference in the world and in this case the sum of 1.1 million dollars has no importance.
The one who has been spoiled with such a car is Rick Hendrick, a well known impassioned Corvette collector and the NASCAR team owner. He made a serious dent at the Barrett-Jackson auction as he bought other two cars so he drew from his pocket about 2.5 million dollars.
This sale is definitely a success for Chevrolet but is not an accident because the C6 Corvette which was first sold in 2008 reached the amazing sum of one million dollars. The C6 Corvette 427 Convertible was a success as well, as it went for 600.000 dollars. One thing for sure is that Hendrick put his hands on the most efficient and most elegant car ever produced by Chevrolet. There is no secret now that the LT1 6.2 liter V-8 engine that is told to deliver 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, is able to reach 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
